Rachel has done many arrangements over the years and in the past few years has started writing mostly educational music for oboe.

There are currently three educational oboe books and they are all published by RBOboeEdition. Fairground Fun is a book for oboe and piano for early grade players knowing about an octave of notes, 30 Advanced Character Studies which is her most recent publication and aimed at grade 7 students and above. Finally there is 20 Character Pieces for solo oboe which was written to help students understand musicality and musical story telling. Each of the pieces has a little sentence showing what they are about which helps trigger students imaginations . in 2022 Rachel was delighted to hear that two pieces from 20 Character Pieces had been chosen for the ABRSM examination syllabus for grade 4 and grade 5. In 2023 The Happy Hippo & Friends was published for solo or duet oboes. This book was republished in 2024 after some adaptations had been made so that the music is now perfect for the oboe, flute or descant recorder. The book has 24 characterful, animal themed pieces that were first written as solo oboe pieces and then Rachel wrote a duet accompaniment part for each piece so they can be performed as solos and duets. Rachel's most recent publication is 5 Pieces for solo oboe, a set of pieces inspired by places around the UK is for more advanced players. It had its debut performance in America by Blake Johnson and can be seen on You Tube.
